NEWSFLASH 1/10 26 January 2010
Welcome back to all our Grade 4 - 7 learners from their respective tours; from all reports received our children had a worthwhile experience and did us proud with their good behaviour. Thank you to all the teachers who accompanied the learners.
REMINDER: MEET 'N GREET THURSDAY 28TH 5:00PM.
This is a must for all parents as it lays out all the learning plans and activities for the academic year. Much has been written about "Parent involvement and their child's education." This meeting will get you hooked!
EXTRA-MURAL ACTIVITIES
These will start this week. Encourage your child to participate in at least one activity per term. Once they start an activity remind them each week to attend, we are trying to encourage "commitment to a task", too many children give up too easily.
A good example of the foundation that we set at Saxonwold Primary came to light this week. In 2005 Pelonomi Moiloa and Alex Freeman were Head Girl and Head Boy of Saxonwold Primary.
In 2010 Pelonomi was elected Head Girl at Jeppe Girls and Alex was elected as Head Boy at Sacred Heart. Congratulations and well done to Saxonwold for the foundation.
We are pleased to announce that we now have a Multi-Disciplinary Support Team at our school to assist our learners.
